Prepare for Your Appointment

Our goal is to serve your needs as quickly as possible. For drug and alcohol testing, you can walk in without an appointment during regular clinic hours, or you may choose to schedule an appointment online or over the phone for added convenience.

You can now schedule appointments online or over the phone, or you may still walk in for many services during regular clinic hours. When in doubt, call us and we will help you choose the best option for your situation.

What to Bring

Please bring these items with you; they are needed to properly process your documents and your test:

Valid photo identification:

  • Must not be expired.

  • No photocopies or pictures of your identification card are considered valid.

Acceptable forms of valid photo identification include:

  • Driver’s license

  • State issued identification card

  • Military identification card

  • Passport

Employer issued identification cards are accepted for the following test types:

  • Random

  • Return to Duty

  • Follow up

  • Post accident

Note: You may not use a current employer identification card for a pre employment test for a new employer.

Specific Requirements by Test Type

Breath Alcohol Screens

  • Refrain from consuming alcohol at least 12 hours prior to your visit.

  • Our Evidentiary Breath Tester (EBT) equipment is highly sensitive and can detect one thousandth of a percent of alcohol in the body.

  • Using mouthwash and toothpaste will not affect your test.

  • If you have dentures or partials, please clean them as recommended by your dental professional.

Fingerprinting

  • Please bring your appointment number from your confirmation email along with a valid ID.

Hair Collection

  • Wash, dry, and style your hair as you normally do; hair care products will not affect your test.

  • If your employer requires a hair sample, do not cut your hair prior to the collection date. Labs need at least 1.0 to 1.5 inches of hair for a valid sample.

  • We can also collect facial hair (mustache or beard), arm hair, or leg hair if needed.

Urine Specimen Collection

  • Please bring your confirmation email with you; it is needed to properly process your documents. You do not need to print it if it can be clearly read on a mobile device.

  • Do eat and drink before arriving. Food helps prevent diluted urine samples, and adequate hydration helps ensure we obtain a satisfactory amount of urine. Diluted samples are often rejected by employers. Some employers will allow retesting, and some will not; Drug & Alcohol Testing 24/7 does not have information about which employers will accept diluted samples or allow retests. A diluted sample may be considered an attempt to tamper with a specimen and could be treated as a positive drug test result.

If you are unable to provide an adequate specimen, we will ask you to remain at the clinic until you can. Staff may offer coffee, juice, or water to assist you, but you will not be permitted to consume more than 40 ounces of liquid, and you will not be permitted to leave the facility until the sample is obtained. If you choose to leave before the collection procedure is complete, the technician is required to contact the employer to inform them that you left the clinic.
