On-Site & After-Hours Testing
On-Site and After-Hours Drug and Alcohol Testing Services
Drug & Alcohol Testing Center provides after‑hours, on‑call, on‑site testing services for post‑accident and reasonable suspicion situations for both DOT and non‑DOT employers. Our goal is to help you protect your employees, your customers, and the public while keeping your operation compliant and moving forward.
When an incident occurs, one phone call dispatches a trained technician to your job site, terminal, or facility so you don’t have to pull employees away or send them across town at inconvenient hours.
Post‑Accident Testing
If an employee is injured as the result of a workplace accident, medical care always comes first. Once the employee has been treated and released, the supervisor can contact us so we can perform the required drug and/or alcohol tests as quickly as possible at your site.
Most employers call us as they are leaving the medical facility so we can coordinate arrival and minimize downtime. A supervisor must:
Place the call to request testing
Be present when the technician arrives
Remain with the technician and the employee until all required tests are completed
Safety is always our first concern. If an employee becomes non‑compliant or hostile at any time during the testing process, the technician may terminate the process for safety reasons. Questions about HR procedures or company policy are always referred back to your supervisor, since every employer’s policies are different.
If an employee refuses medical attention, we recommend that the supervisor document that conversation before contacting our technician.
Reasonable Suspicion Testing
In reasonable‑suspicion situations, supervisors should first interview and document observations to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists under your company policy. Once that determination is made and documented, the supervisor contacts our on‑call technician to place an order for testing.
Our technician typically arrives within approximately 60–90 minutes of the call, depending on distance and travel conditions. The technician will provide an estimated time of arrival and keep the supervisor informed if conditions change.
As with post‑accident testing:
The same supervisor who placed the call must be present when we arrive
The supervisor must remain with the technician and the employee until testing is complete
If the employee is non‑compliant or hostile, the process may be terminated for safety
Any questions about disciplinary action, employment status, or company policy are directed to the supervisor or HR; our role is to provide accurate, defensible testing within your established procedures.
